Donna Marie Bidochka, beloved sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024, at the age of 59. She was born on December 11, 1964, in Wetaskiwin, AB, Canada, and most recently resided in Maskwacis, AB, Canada.
Donna led a vibrant and creative life, finding joy in various hobbies such as singing, dancing, drawing, writing, painting, cooking and reading. She had an eclectic taste in food, relishing in dishes like prime rib, steaks, sushi, dim sum, Indian, and Chinese cuisine. Donna had a deep love for music, with her favorite bands and musical artists including Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Def Leppard, Dolly Parton, and the Dixie Chicks.
Throughout her life, Donna achieved many remarkable milestones. She graduated high school at the age of 17 and became a registered nurse before turning 21. Donna's passion for writing led her to become a published poetry author. She had a strong spirit, as evidenced by her resilience after witnessing a horrific bus accident in 1990 near Golden, BC. Donna also enjoyed participating in beauty pageants and parades, even riding on a float. Additionally, she pursued modeling and found solace in horseback riding.
Above all, Donna cherished her pets, plants, and family, which included both extended and adopted members. Her acreage was her favorite place in the world, offering her a sense of peace and tranquility. When it came to entertainment, Donna enjoyed shows like Jeopardy, Dallas, Grace and Frankie, Suits, Sons of Anarchy, and Game of Thrones. She also held a special place in her heart for movies like Gone with the Wind, Mulan (both versions), and Memoirs of a Geisha.
Donna was known by various nicknames, such as Donna Weiss, Meow Weiss, Hot Donna, Nikâwiy, Consuela, and Momma. She had a successful career as a manager and always lived by the motto "Life and love are a dance," while also having a flair for humor with sayings like "Kiss my hairy ass," and "I brought you into this world I'll take you out."
Among her proudest accomplishments were graduating from university, raising her children, and being a humanitarian. Donna leaves behind her daughters Krystina Natalie, Samantha Marie (Natt), and Amanda Ashley (Gary). Sadly, she was predeceased by her son Corey Anthony. Donna's legacy lives on through her grandchildren Benjamin, Mia, Leland, Nathan, and Kaizen.
Those who knew Donna will remember her for her caring nature, comedic spirit, and boundless energy. She positively impacted the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed.
In honor of Donna's life, a private memorial service will be held for close family and friends. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
