Obituario

Donna Jean Stewart, born on June 27, 1945, in Wise County, Virginia, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Lusby, Maryland. A mathematician and dedicated teacher, Donna made significant contributions to program management as a civil servant on base. She held a commercial pilot’s license, which was one of her proudest accomplishments.

An adventurous spirit, Donna enjoyed flying, traveling, painting, boating, scuba diving, and theater. Her zest for life was evident in everything she did, and her favorite place in the world was the pyramid. Donna was a passionate supporter of the Washington Redskins and was known for her humor, often saying, "Whatever, whatever. You can't bullshit a bullshitter."

Donna was a cherished member of the Business and Professional Women, the Ninety Nines, and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). A devoted member of the United Methodist Church, she found strength and purpose in her faith.

Donna loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her three children: Belynda Jentlea Mogge, Richard Franklin Miller (Tina), and Crystal Jean Lester. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Robert Miller, Traevon Michael Miller, Joseph Reno Miller, William Grant Miller, and Emma Jean Lester.

She is preceded in death by her spouses, Bob Miller and Dennis Smith, and is survived by her siblings, Jentlea Meade and Robert Stewart.

Donna's strong, independent, and brave personality left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
