Donald W Blakey Jr /“DeMarvlest” (Wali) was born to Donald W. Blakey Sr. (Don W.Bilal) and Emma L. Blakey (Robinson) on December 7, 1969 in Indianapolis IN. He attended Warren Central High School, Florida A & M University, and later entered the United States Air Force. Along with an extensive career, Wali was a musical genius collaborating with various UK artist and performing as an opening act for well known artists such as “Jay Z, Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince”. In spite of many life challenges Wali always remained optimistic and hopeful for the future. December 1995 Wali married the love of his life Dawn in Banbury U.K. together they share a beautiful daughter Cayenne Blakey. Wali will be truly missed he is proceeded in death by his parents Donald & Emma Blakey-Bilal and great-nephew Kaiden Gavin. Wali leaves in eternal love four siblings: Three sisters: Donita E. Coleman of Scottsdale AZ, D’Adrieanna A. Roberts of Salt Lake City, UT and Emma Adilah Bilal of Indianapolis, IN and one brother Abdullah H. Bilal of Greenwood, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
