Donald Paul Longenecker, born on October 13, 1960, in Lancaster, PA, passed away on December 15, 2024, in Perryville, MD. He was a cherished son, brother, father, and grandfather, known affectionately as “Papa Dude” and “Donnie” to his loved ones.

Donald had a zest for life that was reflected in his favorite hobbies, which included hunting, fishing, boating, and cooking. He found joy in the outdoors and cherished moments spent at his cabin and on the wide-open water. A fan of Metallica, he embraced his unconventional spirit and lived with a rebellious heart.

He was a proud father to his daughter, Cynthia Griffith, and delighted in being a grandfather to his granddaughters, Charlotte and Georgia Griffith. Donald's adventurous and funny personality brought light to those around him, and he will be remembered for his gruff charm and infectious laughter.

He enjoyed watching the Eagles and unwinding with a cocktail, often sharing his favorite quotes and sayings that reflected his unique outlook on life. As a foreman and professional painter, Donald made significant contributions through his work and was respected in his field.

Donald is survived by his mother, Miriam J. Longenecker; his sister, Sherry Reynolds; and his brother, Darry Longenecker. His legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
