Donald L Campbell Sr passed away on November 15, 2022 at River Hospital in Alexandria Bay, NY at the age of 91 years.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 14, 1931, to Charles A. Campbell and Ollie Lee (Cruise), he married Joyce M. Hanratty of Gouverneur, NY on April 6, 1957. They had four children, Marion L (Campbell) Stark of LaFargeville, JoAnne (Campbell) Peck of Syracuse, Donald L. Campbell Jr of Gouverneur and Amy L Campbell, of Alexandria Bay.

He spent the majority of the last 46 years as a resident of the Gouverneur, NY area, having moved to Alexandria Bay in 2019 with his youngest daughter and her son.

A 9 year veteran of the Army, Donald was not only stationed throughout the United States, but also served 3 years in Germany and a year in Korea at the end of the Korean War.

He loved crafting and coloring. In his healthier years he and his wife loved fishing together and family time. Miami Dolphins were his football team and he loved showing his team spirit.

Donald was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Joyce, in 2006. He was the youngest of 11 children, 10 boys and 1 girl. All of his siblings passed before him leaving him the last and oldest of his generation.

He was the proud grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 26. Had many, many nieces and nephews, most who still reside down south, in and around the Jacksonville, Florida area.

His final arrangements are as follows:

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Green Funeral Home in Gouverneur from 12-1:30 pm.
