Dion Reshard Benson, a native of Dallas County, completed his high school education at North Dallas High School on May 16, 1998. After graduating, he dedicated his life to serving his country by enlisting in the United States Navy as a rescue swimmer. After service he relocated to Pensacola Florida. He faithfully served his nation until his passing.

On December 20, 2016, Dion embarked on a beautiful journey of love and commitment with Latrice LeShay Booker. They have been blessed with nine wonderful years of marriage, during which they have created a loving family of three young sons: Jayleen, Marcus, and Reshard Benson.

Dion’s passions lay in various activities that brought him joy and fulfillment. He was an avid skater, enjoyed playing video games, and loved spending time with his furry companion, Snoobie, on hiking adventures. He cherished the company of his family and friends, and was a wonderful husband, son, brother, and friend. His presence and love will be deeply missed by all who knew and cherished him.

Dion is survived by his loving wife, Latrice LeShay Booker; his parents, Ralph Benson and Doris Denise Johnson; his brother, David Benson, Mark Benson Van Montrel Benson, and his sisters Trice Benson, Lauren Benson; his nephew, Quinton Harris; his aunts, Kathy Harris; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
