Obituary

Diane Elizabeth Stroud, age 68, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on January 2, 2024. She was born on October 23, 1955, in Barnesville, Georgia. Diane was the baby girl of her family and was dearly loved by her parents and siblings, Linda McDowell of Locust Grove, Georgia, and Ethel Greer of Griffin, Georgia.

Diane had a strong-willed and stubborn personality, yet she was also incredibly caring and always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She had a special place in her heart for caring for and helping people who were going through tough times. Diane's most cherished moments were when she received updates on what was happening in her family. Family meant everything to her.

Diane found joy in growing flowers and spent countless hours tending to her garden. She also had a deep appreciation for music, particularly the works of Dennis Edmonds. Gunsmoke was her favorite TV show, and she could always be found enjoying an episode.

Diane leaves behind a loving legacy. She was a devoted mother to her four children and a proud grandmother to her seven grandchildren. Her love and care extended beyond her immediate family, as she opened her heart and home to anyone in need, providing them with food, clothing, money, and a place to stay.

Diane's memory will forever be cherished by her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her faith in God was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted Christian.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to support Diane's grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Diane's impact on the lives of others will never be forgotten, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Diane's life and honor her memory.
