Since becoming a resident of Christian Health Care Center three years ago, Dian became a one-woman "Welcome Wagon". She greeted new residents with a smile and a joke. She helped them find their way around and encouraged them to engage in the activities and socials offered at the Center.
Dian Patricia McLaughlin, born on November 6, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away on October 8, 2024, in Freehold, New Jersey. A loving mother and devoted grandmother, Dian is survived by her two daughters, Tara McLaughlin and Meghan (Van Arsdale) Dozer, and her cherished granddaughters, Brittany McLaughlin and Arabella Dozer. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Frank McLaughlin.
Dian was known for her passion for making chocolates, which she lovingly gifted to family, friends, and colleagues. An avid reader, she found joy in literature and loved indulging in shopping sprees. For the last three years of her life, Dian resided at the Christian Health Care Center, where she became a beloved figure among the residents. Known as the "Welcome Wagon," she greeted newcomers with warmth, humor, and kindness, helping them navigate their new home and encouraging their participation in activities and social events.
Dian will be remembered for her infectious spirit, her generous heart, and her unwavering commitment to making those around her feel welcome and loved. She leaves behind a legacy of joy and connection that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
