It is with our heaviest hearts that we announce the passing of Derrick Colson.

Now at rest with his late partner of 34 years Gail Maude Hubley and brothers Bobby & Brian Colson.

At the age of 73 years old, Derrick passed at Dartmouth General on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family.

Derrick was born in Corner Brook Newfoundland on Sept 2nd, 1951. He was the second child of thirteen and eldest son of Dolly and Ambrose.

Remaining to cherish Derrick's memory are his children; Derrick Edward Colson Jr (Roxanne), Micheal Deangelo Colson, William Joseph Colson, Charlene Catherine Colson and Step son Ryan Ross Hubley (Tammy). His Grandchildren; Justin Chambers, Desiree Colson (Devin), Breonna White, Davon White, Sheena Cleveland, Blaise Cleveland, Brooklynn Colson, Jesery Colson, Kayden Pearsons, Wyatt Pearsons, Brady Colson and step Grandchildren Parker and Ava Hubley. His Great Grandson's; Carter Chambers, Emerson Terrance Kain Hendsbee. His Siblings; Patsy Park (Kev), Mary Joyce (Francie) , Clarence Colson (Gertrude), Junior Colson (Shirley), Kim Colson , Darlene Pike (Larry), Joey Colson (Louisa), Margaret Colson (Paul Buckle), Sandra Colson (Gord), Tammy Colson (Harnovio) and a large circle of loving nieces and nephews.

Although Derrick is gone the love he gave remains a beautiful reminder of the life he lived and laughter he shared with others.
