Febuary 11th 2023 at 3:32am Derek was called home to be with Our Lord God. At age 43. Derek accepted Christ recently at his father’s place of business with a stranger that was God sent on that day. He recently started a Job with NRG The way he talked you would have thought he had been there for years, but he was so proud of the accomplishments he made so much so he text his mama to say “I love my job so much”

Derek was truly an amazing man, he kept his kids on their toes, even up till the day God called him home. Derek was the family stunt guy growing up he kept his parents in the emergency room getting medical care. He would walk in any room and demand attention then make a sarcastic comment, say something to make you laugh, or do a dance. Leftovers and snacks were not safe if Derek was around, and scooby snacks was his thing. Derek is a mama’s boy though he's all man would always say “call my mama she knows everything”. He inherited “the look” from her in which he would give you “the look” and you knew what time it was. He was also definitely his father’s child he was going to always dress nice, have money, and spend money.

Derek departed this life on Saturday February 11, 2023, He was preceded in death by his uncle Earnest Johnson, grandfather Ira Hornbucky and grandparents Nathanial & Ruthie Johnson

Those left to cherish his loving memory are his parents Early & Yalane Johnson; siblings Antonio, Erley {Rhonda}, Montelyus, Kamryn, and Joshua. Wife Tracy Children/Step-Children Ty, Kaden, Zuri/ Dshawndria Cousin/brother Quyam, Goddaughter Dehlani, Nephews Antonio Jr., Tanson and Mason, Nieces: Diavian, Reagan, Kenzi, Mariah, and Tinley, and a host of aunts, uncles, & cousins.
