Deno Nickolas DeFrain, of Keego Harbor, passed away peacefully surrounded by the people who loved him.

Deno was someone who was always smiling and always willing to help someone who needed it. He had a kind heart and cared deeply about the people in his life.

Deno was a chef who loved cooking, he took pride in what he made and enjoyed making sure the people around him were taken care of. He had five cats who brought him so much happiness and comfort, he also enjoyed spending his time golfing, watching sports, and especially cheering on the Detroit Lions.

Above all, his daughter, Alexis, meant the world to him. He liked to call her the light of his life and his pride & joy, anyone who knew Deno could see how much she meant to him. The love he had for his daughter was the most important part of his life.

Deno was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia DeFrain, and his sister, Robin Hartunian.

He is survived by his father, Christofer DeFrain; his brother, Chris DeFrain; and his daughter, Alexis DeFrain, along with many family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Deno will be missed more than words can say. His smile, his kindness, his love for his family, and the memories he made with the people around him will stay with them forever.
