Dennis Lee Lettie, a beloved brother, devoted friend, and faithful servant, passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 67.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 10, 1958, Dennis was the son of Dolores Norma Biskup of Cleveland, Ohio and Samuel George Lettie of Brookville, Pennsylvania. He spent his early years in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, before his family relocated to Arlington, Texas in 1968, a place that would become his lifelong home.
Dennis graduated from Arlington High School and pursued higher education at the University of Texas at Arlington, studying business management. He later earned an Associate of Science degree in electronic technology from Tarrant County College. These foundations led him into a successful 40-year career specializing in the sales and service of label-making machines of all types. His work brought him to every corner of Texas and even to destinations as far as Belize and Mexico.
A man of deep faith, Dennis was a longtime and active member of Rush Creek Church, where he found spiritual community and purpose. He proudly served on the Rush Creek Media Team, offering his technical talents in service of the church he so dearly loved.
Dennis had a heart for animals, especially dogs. Over the years, he raised and adopted several Labrador retrievers—Koko, Sachi, and Kali—from a local rescue organization. He also lovingly helped care for his mother’s dogs, Asta, Rosie, and Sam, showing compassion that touched every life he encountered.
Dennis was a lover of the outdoors. From sailing to windsurfing to playing golf and at one point he earned his pilot license. He shared many of those times with Reid and especially enjoyed a trip to Hawaii when Reid was in the Navy. He became our "official" weather spotter and made sure to let us know when it looked like we might be in for a rough storm.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings, Valerie Bailey of Newport News Virginia, Carrie Egan of Arlington Texas, and Reid Lettie of Pottsboro Texas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at Rush Creek Church, 2350 SW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX 76017, on July 26th at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rush Creek Church or a charitable organization of your choice, in honor of Dennis’s generous and caring spirit.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. His family and friends will carry his memory in their hearts.
Plantaremos árboles de verdad en memoria de Dennis y mostraremos tu contribución para siempre.
