Worked for Redisco, Dixie Bearings, and Daniels Lumber, became a shareholder of Daniels Lumber, retired in 2000
Community involvement
Founding member of the Boys Club of Columbia County, served on the Board and as an announcer for sporting events, supported local charities
Hobbies
Raced cars at Lake City Speedway, enjoyed Florida State Seminole football and basketball, worked in his yard, spent time with family
Family
Survived by wife Barbara, son Kevin, daughter Kim, two sisters, a sister-in-law, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren
Funeral arrangements
Visitation on December 20th, funeral on December 21st at First Baptist Church of Lake City, interment at Santa Fe Cemetery
Memorial contributions
Requested to be made to First Baptist Church of Lake City or The Partnership for Strong Families for the renovation of a visitation room for foster children
