Demetrius Donyell Jefferson, affectionately known as "Big Meat," passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 61. He was born on February 21, 1963, in Tuscaloosa, AL, and resided there throughout his life.
Demetrius had a zest for life and cherished spending time with his family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was taking family trips, creating cherished memories with his sons and nephews. He had a particular fondness for Palace Bingo Hall, considering it his favorite place in the world.
When it came to food, Demetrius enjoyed indulging in dishes like pork pots, hot wings, and dirty rice. He had a great taste in music, being a fan of Nipsey Hussle and Jeezy.
A lover of sports, Demetrius followed football and basketball with great enthusiasm. He was known for his passion, caring nature, and his motto, "Save your money cause it will save you."
Demetrius was a faithful Christian, finding solace in his religious beliefs. He was married to Ebony Jefferson, and together they raised a family. Demetrius leaves behind his sons, Kalex Ray and Landon Jefferson, as well as his daughters, Asia and Brooklyn Jefferson. Sadly, their daughter India Jefferson preceded him in death.
Demetrius Donyell Jefferson will be remembered for his warm heart, his love for his family, and his zest for life. He has left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
