Demekia Lashawn Faulkner, commonly known as Meka, passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 41. She was born on July 1, 1982, in Stanardsville, VA, and had been residing in Charlottesville, VA, at the time of her passing.

Demekia's greatest joy in life was her two beautiful daughters, Ze'carra and Zyra Graves. As a full-time stay-at-home mom, she dedicated herself to their happiness and well-being, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her proudest accomplishments revolved around raising her daughters and nurturing their growth.

Demekia shared her life with her beloved spouse, Richard Graves. Together, they created a loving and supportive home for their family. She was also a proud mother to her daughters Ze'carra and zyra Graves.

In addition to her immediate family, Demekia is survived by her mother, Sherry Faulkner, her brothers Cornell Patterson, Tony Jones, Marvin Jones sisters, Serena Faulkner Deena Scott, Carolyn her darling niece Daaiyah Turner and favorite aunt Melissa Blakely. They will remember her for her vibrant and fun-loving personality, always bringing a sense of excitement and energy to any gathering.

Demekia Lashawn Faulkner will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy lives on through the love and memories she leaves behind.
