Demarrea K Powell, known affectionately as Moo Moo or DP Steady, passed away on July 20, 2024, at the age of 32. He was born on October 22, 1991, in Oakland, California and most recently resided in Lathrop, California.
Demarrea had a passion for baseball, starting from the age of 8, and enjoyed spending time making beats in his room. He also loved putting go-karts together, although he once broke his arm while riding an electric scooter. His favorite place in the world was being at home with his girls.
In terms of his professional achievements, Demarrea attended Dublin High School. More recently, Demarrea graduated from electrician school in October of 2023, showcasing his dedication and commitment to his chosen career path.
Demarrea leaves behind a lasting legacy through his loving parents, Jerri Rae and Desmond Powell, his two daughters Kashmere Marie Powell and Mikaela Cynthia Powell, along with her mother Fabie Navarro. He is survived by his grandma Linda and proceeded in death by his grandma Cynthia and grandpa Ricky. He had a close-knit family, including his brother Deangelo Thomas, and sister Deyjah Powell. Along with those listed, he leaves behind his great aunts, great uncles, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends.
Those who knew Demarrea remember him for his big heart, thoughtfulness, humor, caring nature, and generosity. He would always be willing to give his last to those in need. One of his last good deeds was donating clothes and shoes to the homeless. His infectious laugh will forever echo in the memories of those who loved him.
Demarrea's impact on the lives of others, especially his family, was immeasurable. His love for his daughters was unparalleled, and he tirelessly cared for their every need. The bond he shared with each of them can never be replaced, and his absence leaves a void in the family that can never be filled.
As we bid farewell to Demarrea K Powell, we are reminded of the love and joy he brought into our lives. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
