Anyone that met or knew Delia , would say she was the most sincere, kindhearted person . If you had no where to go , she would take you in . If you needed someone to talk to , she would be that listening ear. She would give you her last, if you were in need. Delia had the gift of effortlessly making you feel welcomed. They say people will always remember how you made them feel. Anyone that has had the gift of Delia in their life , will say she made them feel welcome , comforted and loved .

Delia Marrero, lovingly known as Sweet D, passed away on July 24, 2024, at the age of 56. She was born on October 24, 1967, in Chester, PA, and had been a resident of the same city throughout her life.
Delia will always be remembered as the most sincere and kindhearted person. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she would open her home and heart to anyone in need. Delia had a unique gift of making people feel welcomed, comforted, and loved, and those who had the pleasure of knowing her will forever cherish that feeling.
Family was everything to Delia. She adored her children, grandchildren, and her husband, Calvin Nelson. Her favorite place in the world was being at home, with her loved ones gathered around her, creating precious memories.
Delia began her career as an assistant teacher at Head Start, where she nurtured and guided young minds. She later became a dedicated case worker, always advocating for the well-being of children. Delia's passion for helping others shone through in her profession.
Delia is survived by her loving husband, Calvin Nelson, and her five children: Tiana Marrero, Darryl Moore (Candace Waters), Edwin Soto, Jovani Soto, and Josh Soto. She also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Delia Marrero's departure has left an immense void in the lives of those who knew her. Her kind spirit and selflessness will forever be remembered, and her presence will be deeply missed. May she rest in eternal peace.
