As I Sit in Heaven
As I sit in heaven and watch you every day, I try to let you know with signs, I never went away. I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you as you sleep, I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep. I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home, So I try to send you signs, so you know you're not alone. Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me, Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see. So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free. Then I'll know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.

Debra Ann Pettway was born March 08, 1954, in
Staten Island, New York. She departed this life on
July 27, 2024. Debra was preceded in death by her
husband Jermiah Pettway, and grandson Da’Mari
Bradley.
A true lover of music, she loved and sang gospel and
blues. She was a loving mother grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her four kids;
Charles (Kawanda) Caver, Charlene (David) Dinkins,
Rebecca (Sidney) Pettway, and Gregory (Ieshia)
Caver. Nineteen grandchildren; Ebony, Kadedra,
ShaKaylan, Vanessa, Keon, Kevin, Unique, Sienna,
Jermey, Jermiah, Anaya, Indy’a, Devonte, Kia, Darryl
Jr., Tamarian, Asia, Maryon, Kosey, and Sidney Jr.
Eleven great-grandchildren; Kreed, Ki’Mynee,
Ki’Mylenn, Kar’Mynn, Aubrey, Kyliee, Londyn,
Zyon, Tionna, Da’Mari, and Pharrah. A host of
devoted relatives, and friends; two devoted friends,
Dorothy (Joe) Williams and Queen King.
