Graduate of Brockton HS in 1966, Bachelor of Science in Plant and Soil Science from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1970
Worked with UMass Cooperative Extension Service in various offices, including Plymouth County Extension Service in Hanson
Nominated and elected as the third woman in The Horticulture Club of Boston, first woman President of the club, member and president of the Massachusetts Agricultural Club
Passionate about plants and gardening, loved the beach and finding beauty in flowers and shells
Survived by husband Wesley Brooks, sister Pamela D'Alessandro, nieces Stacy Crotty and Sherri Schuler, nephew Brett Williams, and other extended family members
Held at Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston, MA, with calling hours on January 4 and a Memorial Service on January 5
