Deborah A. Andrews, born on March 22, 1959, in Piscataway, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024, in Charlotte, NC. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Deborah is remembered for her unwavering love for her family, especially her grandbabies: Elijah Martinez, Evan Swearengin, Hope Ortiz, and Jeremiah Johnson.
Deborah, affectionately known as "Deb," had a vibrant personality and was known for her candidness, often expressing her thoughts with no filter. She loved to spend her time playing long games of Spades and cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. Her passion for music was evident in her love for Tina Marie and Motown, often singing along to anything with a beat.
Her professional journey included 15 years as a School Bus Driver for Ralph's Bus and Barker, and she also served as a Leasing Manager at Colony House. Deborah received her Certificate to be an Ordained Minister, reflecting her deep Catholic faith.
Deborah is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Michael Andrews, and her two daughters, Heather Ortiz and Ashley Andrews. She is also survived by her siblings: Dina Medina, Danielle Zydzik, Dawn Arrington, and Mark Zydzik and John as well as her dearly departed sister and brother Denise Zydzik and Ricky Zydzik.
A lifelong football fan, Deborah cheered for the NY Giants and enjoyed watching all sports, particularly the Olympics. She found delight in watching Game Shows and Soap Operas and cherished the magic of Christmas movies. Her favorite place in the world remained her hometown of New Jersey, where she created many cherished memories.
Deborah's legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
