David “Buck” Brewer, 71, of Amesbury, MA, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024. He was born on December 15, 1952, to Raymond D. Brewer and Dorothy (Halewood) Brewer. His life was a journey that touched many hearts, and while his loss is deeply felt, his legacy will continue to shine through the lives of those who knew and loved him.
David grew up in Ashland, MA, where he attended Ashland High School. He found peace in the simple pleasures of life. He was passionate about fishing, especially ice fishing trips to Sebago Lake in Maine with his brothers, Jeff and Roy. For David, these trips were less about the fish they caught, and more about the time spent together sharing laughter, and cherished memories.
He was a devoted husband to Sheila Brewer, a partnership marked by unwavering love and commitment. Sheila, and David loved to travel. They spent time living in Arizona, and Colorado often reminiscing about their trips to Estes Park. David was also a proud father to Tami Long of Killeen TX, Jayme Masse and husband Matthew of Burnham ME, Cory Fitzpatrick and wife Julie of Merrimack NH, who brought him immense joy through their accomplishments, families, and the time they shared together. David loved taking his children on camping trips, and to his favorite fishing spots. He had a passion for cars often going to car shows, and races. David also had a beloved dog named Ozzy, and wherever David went Ozzy was by his side.
David leaves behind his siblings. Janet Polk (Deceased), Judy, and husband Terry Humphry of TN, Roy, and wife Diane Brewer of MA, Betty Brown of MA, Joanne Sheahan of MA, and Jeff, and wife Karen Brewer. As well as many nieces, and nephews. His role as a brother was one of loyalty, love, and support, and he remained a cherished part of their lives through the years.
David Brewer will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, skilled mechanic, and a man who deeply valued his relationships. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Lung Association or a charity of your choice in David’s memory.
