David brought so much light and love into our lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. David Walter Yeager, 66, lived a life full of kindness, strength, and unforgettable moments. Born to James Walter Yeager Jr. and Shirley Jane Ayres on September 17, 1958, in Oakland, California. David grew up in Yreka, California, and graduated from Yreka Union High School in 1977, where he met his first wife, Maxine LeRay Yeager (Horton) [63]. After high school, David served in the military from 1977 to 1992 when he was honorably discharged. Shortly after joining the military, he started his family, eventually having his 3 oldest children, Cynthia, David, and Sabrina. Later on in life in 1988, while on recruitment duty, he met his second wife, April Denise Yeager (McClane) [55], and raised his 3 youngest children, James, Ashlee, and Jessica.
David passed away, living the simple life that he always strived for. Growing his crops was something he took pride in every day. David loved to take wood and turn it into beautiful art. He enjoyed baseball throughout his life, whether playing or watching; it was a sport he knew intimately. David was determined to ensure his family was taken care of. He loved to be outdoors camping and photographing his family, nature, and the beauty that surrounded him. David was a loving son, brother, dad, grandpa, and uncle. We all will remember him for his passions and interests, but most of all his goofy humor. He had a sign, despite loving his family dearly, that read "All children left unattended will be sold to the circus." The family will be spreading his ashes privately. No services will be held as it was David's wish before he passed away.
We'll plant real trees for you in David's memory and display your contribution forever.
