Obituary

David U Ybanez, lovingly known as Chico, was born on June 5, 1962, in Hemet, CA. He unexpectedly passed away on June 1, 2024, in Golden Valley, AZ. David was a construction laborer by profession, dedicating his time and effort to his work.

David's proudest accomplishment was serving as a Marine, showcasing his dedication, discipline, and commitment to his country. He cherished his role as a husband, being married to Dawn for 20 years. Together, they built a beautiful family.

David leaves behind his beloved daughter, Kenede Ybanez, stepdaughter Chrystle, and granddaughter Cerrena. He was a caring and compassionate father and grandfather, always there to support and guide them.

David, son of Raul Ybanez and Eleuteria Ybanez is survived by his four brothers (Heriberto, Raul Jr., Rene, Hector ✝️, and Roy), and five sisters (Irene, Elvia, Amelia, Dora, and Linda). He cherished his family and held a special place in their hearts.

Known for his straightforward nature, David was never afraid to speak his mind and had a great sense of humor. His favorite motto was "Fuck it," which showcased his ability to go with the flow and not take life too seriously.

A memorable anecdote that captures David's essence is when he was riding his bike in Hemet one morning, and his path was accidentally blocked by a family member on Yale and Florida. In response, he flipped him the bird, showcasing his playful and unfiltered personality.

Although David was raised Catholic, he did not actively practice his religion. Instead, his spirituality was found in the connections he made with his loved ones and the joy he found in their presence.

David U Ybanez will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, dedication, and fearlessness will forever be remembered. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
