David had an extensive variety of favorite bands and musical artists, ranging from Wu-Tang Clan and Naughty by Nature to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Jimi Hendrix. His passion for music extended to playing the bass guitar, which brought him much joy throughout his life. In addition to his musical pursuits, David enjoyed indulging in video games, hiking, and embarking on memorable road trips.

One of David's notable career achievements was his involvement in the rebuilding of the Myra Canyon Trestle bridges after the fires in 2003. He also contributed to the construction of a tunnel in Pickering while working with STRABAG.
