David Norman Lindley, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend, continued his journey on Monday Feb 26th 2024 in Henderson, NV.
"Dave" was born in Silverton, ID on May 6th, 1947 and grew up there with his Mother, Father and Brother. He graduated from Wallace High School in 1965 alongside dear friends he stayed close with his entire life, Dave's loyalty and friendship were felt by so many, accentuated by the nicknames he loved to give those close to him over the years.
Later in 1965, after the death of David's Mother Jo Ann, his Father remarried and a new, very tight knit, extended family was born. He stayed close with his Step-Mother, Step-Brothers and Step-Sister throughout the years.
In 1966, Dave enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War from 1966-1968. It is fitting that David left us at 11:11am, the date of Veteran's Day, because in his later years Dave was extremely proud of his service to our country and being a Marine. He always enjoyed receiving Happy Veterans Day greetings each year.
In 1975, David married Rebecca Jean Zanetti in Wallace. A union that produced 3 Children and 2 Grandchildren. Dave and Becky moved to Spokane soon after and Dave worked first for Signal-Stat as an Outside Salesman, then Safety and Supply Co as a Branch Operations Manager until he Retired in his 60s.
Dave loved music, filling the house, car and river property with the sounds of, among others: Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, The Temptations, Four Tops and his all-time favorite The Eagles. He also loved classic cars, owning a 1941 Chevy Coupe for a short while.
That River property on the North Fork of the Coeur D' Alene was his sanctuary every weekend during the Spring and Summer, but his true love eventually became Parker, AZ where he and Becky "Snow-Birded" every Winter for the last 10 or so years of his life.
Arizona Sunshine was supplemented by good friends, cold Margaritas, and Co-Captaining his Pontoon Boat.
Dave is preceded in Death by his Mother Jo Ann, Father Walt, Step-Mother Margaret "Maggie", Brother Gary and Daughter Jody.
He is survived by his Wife Becky aka "Queenie", Son Matthew aka "Pard" (Rachel), Daughter Allison aka "Doodle" (Franky), and Grandsons Alexander "Cruiser" and Benjamin "Benj"
"We may lose or we may win, but we will never be here again, so open up I'm climbing in, and Take it Easy"
