David Lee Scoggins Jr., lovingly known as Dave, Papaw, Dad, and Biscuit Butt, passed away on July 2, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on October 22, 1957, in Chattanooga, TN, David was a cherished member of the Cleveland, TN community.

David found joy in simple pleasures and had a deep passion for gardening, spending time with his grandkids and family, and hanging out with his buddies. His heart overflowed with love for his grandchildren, and they brought him immense happiness.

Football and NASCAR were among David's favorite sports, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 175, where he made notable contributions to his profession.

Known for his strong-willed nature, David was also selfless and always showed love to those around him. He valued the importance of family and friendships, and his warm presence will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his daughters, Kristie Meadows and Danielle Wilson, as well as his cherished grandchildren: Maxx Meadows, Lyric Ellis, Sarah Hannah, Kailyn Wyrick, and Sam Wyrick. He is also survived by his parent, Brenda Gilreath.

In honoring his memory, David's favorite saying, "Love, Peace, and Chicken Grease," serves as a reminder of his infectious spirit and love for life.
