David Lee Purser, also known as "Davo," passed away on August 24, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on May 31, 1951, in Iron City, Tennessee, David spent his entire life in the community he loved.

With a dedicated career spanning 42 years in the united states postal service, David was a familiar face in Iron City. He took great pride in his work, but his greatest joy came from his family. David was especially proud of his son, Joshua Purser, and daughter, Kaitlin Purser. He cherished the time spent with his many grandchildren, including Maeleigh, Shayla, River, Josie, and Axel, who brought him immense happiness.

A well known musician, David was a member of multiple bands including The Roadrunners, and The Pj's. David also enjoyed playing golf with many of his friends and family. David found joy in sharing his passions with those around him. His favorite place in the world was his farm, where he enjoyed peaceful moments in nature. David was known for his infectious smile and his ability to brighten anyone's day, no matter their troubles. He had a remarkable talent for helping others, always willing to lend a listening ear and provide support whenever needed.

David is survived by his daughter, Kaitlin Purser, son, Joshua Purser(Alicia), grandchildren, Maeleigh, Shayla, River, Josie, and Axel. He is also survived by his brother, Malcum Purser, sister, Katherine Wallace(Albert), and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion, having touched the lives of many with his caring heart and unwavering support. David Lee Purser will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.
