David Lee Howard, lovingly known as Bub, passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 67. He was born on March 2, 1957 in Logan, West Virginia. He grew up in South Lebanon, OH, and most recently resided in Lakeland, FL.

David had a passion for sports, particularly Tampa Bay Buccaneers football and NASCAR. As a roofer by profession, he dedicated his time and skills to his work. However, his proudest accomplishments and contributions were his family and his love for drag racing.

Married to Phyllis for 42 years, David cherished their relationship and was a devoted husband. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their children Melissa, David, Amanda, and Carey. David was also blessed with seven grandchildren - Madalyn, Laila, Mia, Marc, Marissa, Lily, and Eli.

David's defining personality traits were his loving nature, loyalty, hard work, kindness, strength, and friendliness. He was tough as nails, but had a heart of gold and never missed an opportunity to express his pride and love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

David is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, sister Barbara and brother Paul, as well as his sister-in-law Rhonda and several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
