JR had a special bond with animals. He cared for his chickens, turkeys, goats, and other creatures with a tenderness that reflected his deep connection to nature. JR’s love for hunting and fishing was matched by his adventurous soul, whether it was tracking down squirrels—often bringing them home to cook—or simply enjoying the beauty of the world around him.
Cheese Quesadillas, Menudo, Venison, and Tortas. His favorite drinks were Cotton candy faygo, horchata, and cream soda. His favorite candy was sour strips, and Jordan almonds. His favorite snacks were bbq Pringles, taco supreme sunflower seeds, and pork rinds.
Passing his dmv test and getting his license. He was so happy. He tried three times before passing it on his fourth try.
The outdoors in nature hunting. The Mountains. Brookings Oregon(where he had planned to book a trip to).
Jr volunteerd at the local food bank to help others. He loved it and couldn't wait to go back to help people in need.
Generosity, always helping others, his kindness and strength.

In Loving Memory of David Serapio Galvan Jr. ("JR") With broken hearts and profound sadness, we announce the untimely passing of David Serapio Galvan Jr., lovingly known as JR. JR, a beloved son, brother, nephew, boyfriend, grandson, cousin and friend, left this world on February 14, 2025, at the age of 18. Born on December 19, 2006, JR was a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew him. JR had an extraordinary warmth that made him a joy to be around. His infectious laughter, vibrant personality, and positive energy were a constant presence, and he seemed to carry an unshakable good mood wherever he went. JR never let a day pass without bringing a smile to the faces of those around him, and his radiant spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. JR was an extremely hard worker and always ready to help. He recently graduated from high school and had just earned his driver’s license a few months before his passing. Whether he was lending a hand at home or tackling any job that came his way, JR gave his all. His generosity, work ethic, and willingness to help others stood as a testament to the kind of person he was—selfless, dependable, and full of heart. Family was at the center of JR’s world. His love for his mother, Amy Galvan, his father, David Galvan Sr., his sister, Lilly Galvan, and his dog Gunner, was immeasurable. He cherished every moment with his cousin, Lacy Lindauer, who brought him endless joy, and he shared a special bond with his girlfriend, who held a place of great importance in his heart. Though JR’s life was cut tragically short, he lived it with a spirit of adventure, a thirst for new experiences, and a deep love for those around him. Whether it was trying new, exotic foods like cow stomach, laughing with family, or simply enjoying a quiet moment in nature, JR embraced life fully and lived it with unmatched enthusiasm. JR’s memory will forever remain a part of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his light. His warmth, joy, and love for life will never be forgotten, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
