David was a Stonemaison by trade, which led to him to become a familiar face in the village of Nettleham. He was a father to Chris, Roxanne, Adam, Eleanor and Lauryn and Grandfather.

David Gosney, born on November 24, 1963, in Peterhead, Scotland, passed away on October 8, 2024, in Grange de Lings, Lincoln, UK. A beloved father, grandfather, and respected stonemason, David was a prominent figure in the village of Nettleham, where his craftsmanship and friendly demeanor made him a familiar sight.
David was the proud father of five children: Christopher, Roxanne, Adam, Eleanor, and Lauryn. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Lee, Ebony, Ava, Theo, and Nancy. His greatest pride lay in his family, and he often expressed this through his dedication and love for them. David's mother, Irene, and his siblings—brothers William and Derry and sister Christine—also survive him.
An avid cyclist, David loved riding his tandem bike and was known for his enthusiasm for crosswords. He had a particular fondness for biscuits and rum and raisin chocolate. Music was another passion, with artists like Radiohead, Imogen Heap, and David Bowie frequently filling his home with sound. He found joy in getting lost in music with a drink in hand, often sharing this love with his children.
David's artistic spirit extended to his work as a stonemason, where he left a lasting mark on the community. He was recognized for his talent and often enjoyed a drink at the local pubs, where he was known for his friendly nature and engaging conversation. One of David's cherished traditions was celebrating Guy Fawkes Night with a towering bonfire and fireworks, surrounded by family and friends.
A graduate of William Farr School, David was also known for his love of cinema, with favorites including "The Wicker Man" and "Braveheart." He will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, and the indelible impact he made on those around him. David Gosney will be deeply missed by his family and everyone whose lives he touched.
