When he was younger he loved to listen to Conway and Bob Seger. As he got older he loved to listen to gospel music
He wasn’t supposed to live passed 6 months of age, however, He fault the odds and lived to be 75 years old.
Spending time with his beloved wife, Betty Cruce, his son, Josh Cruce, his grandpup Jax, going to Church every Sunday and Wednesday and working when he was able.

David Glenn Cruce, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born on April 28, 1949, in Duluth, GA, and most recently resided in Covington, GA.
David had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies. He found solace and inspiration in reading the Bible and the newspaper. His favorite food was hot wings, and he had a diverse taste in music, from Conway and Bob Seger in his younger years to gospel music in his later years.
Despite facing early challenges, David defied the odds and lived a full and vibrant life. He cherished spending time with his beloved wife, Betty Cruce, their son Josh Cruce, and their grandpup Jax. David also found joy in attending church services regularly and diligently worked whenever he was able.
Helen, Georgia held a special place in David's heart, and he cherished the memories made there. He also enjoyed watching TV shows like Andy Griffith, The Price is Right, and Let's Make a Deal. A passionate sports enthusiast, David cheered on the Georgia Bulldogs football team.
Known affectionately as "Tater Head," David made a significant impact on the lives of those around him with his kind and loving heart. He ran his family business, Cruces Grocery, in Monroe, GA, and worked at Leggett & Platt for many years. In his later years, he contributed to the community by working at the Recycling Center in Covington, GA, before retiring.
David shared 47 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Betty Cruce. Together, they created a loving and nurturing home for their son, Josh Cruce. Additionally, David is survived by Angie the fiancé of his son, his stepson Ricky Jordan and wife Heather, along with several other cherished family members and friends.
David served as a dedicated Usher at Central Church in Covington, GA, for many years, exemplifying his strong faith as a nondenominational Christian and disciple of Christ.
In addition to his family and community contributions, David leaves behind a legacy of resilience and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. David is predeceased by his father, John Cruce, Sr., his mother, Katherine Cruce, his brother, John Cruce, Jr., and his stepdaughter Kim Slaughter.
A celebration of David's life will be held to honor his memory and the impact he made on the lives of others.
