David Andrew Kent, affectionately known as "Fish," passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born on August 17, 1943, in Rome, NY. David had been residing in Elgin, SC, at the time of his passing.

Throughout his life, David worked as a dedicated truck driver, demonstrating his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. He took great pride in his profession and the responsibilities it entailed.

David's proudest accomplishments and the source of his greatest joy were his beloved grandchildren. He cherished the time spent with them, always making them feel loved and supported.

David was married to his loving wife Diane, who preceded him in death. Together, they built a beautiful life and faced both joys and challenges with unwavering love and commitment.

He leaves behind his children: David Kent, Junior, Donald Kent, Harland Kent, Vera Ann Kent, John Ruling, Patrick Ruling, and Patricia Ruling. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit and will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Known for his outgoing nature and deep love for his family, David touched the lives of many. He found solace and strength through his faith, actively participating in his church community.
