David Allen Moll's obituary
by Shira Leeder, the love of his life and his partner.
December 19th, 2022
David Allen Moll was born in Portland Oregon on July 23rd 1978 and died on December 15th 2022 in Marin hospital, California at the age of 44. David fought a courageous battle with his health issues following a traffic and car accident.
David is survived by his parents, John and Michelle Moll, his cousin, Laurel Merz and her family, his cat, Nico, his cars - Jaguar and the Miata, and his love of his life, Shira Leeder.
David was a kind hearted and a generous man who loved to drive vintage classic sports cars and listened to music especially singing karaoke!
David got his BA degree in Journalism from Cal State Northridge University in 2005 to 2008 and worked as an editor for school newspaper, The Sundial.
David returned from Los Angeles to his residence in Mill Valley after the 2008 recession to help his parents with their architecture family business and to be a caregiver for his parents health issues.
David was the most beautiful human being I ever met in my life and we have shared so many memories together and we love showing off our scarfs and riding the jaguar in real time, eating delicious food especially at the Cheesecake Factory which was our favorite restaurant to dine at. I loved his beautiful eyes, smile and his reddish beard. We read each other minds and challenged our intellect minds to talk about everything. Things with David were never boring or dull. I loved his sweet gentle kisses...
We loved karaoke and singing along with music at nights and we would talked for hours on the phone each day. We wanted to be together and travel the world together but that will be only in my dreams now. David was my Snoopy and I was his Woodstock.
David was a goofy dude, and we made each other laugh really hard. He was an eloquent story teller, I loved the one where he made friends at a red light with the folks in the car next to him by belting “I wanna dance with somebody” or singing some other soundtrack.
That’s how I’ll remember him. Driving way too fast with the top down and a scarf tailing past his shoulders. He’s way to young to hit the flip side, but he’s an organ donor, he saved and improved countless lives. I couldn’t be prouder that this tragedy for us will be a joy for other families.
David had a beautiful radio voice that I loved and he was a talented writer as a journalist and spoke in different languages. I’m honored to be part of his life and I was able to make him happy despite the circumstances of his health. David had a way with words and could write beautifully and loved history as he was a talented storyteller.
May David’s memory be a blessing and will never be forgotten by those who loved him like myself…
David Allan Moll can now dance to the music and ride fancy classic vintage cars in heaven.
