Darwin Nemek was born on a very small island in the south pacific called Uman. Uman is an island in the lagoon of Chuuk State, Federated States of Micronesia. He spent his childhood and adolescent years there. He was presented the opportunity to branch out to Hawaii and then onto Oregon where he set roots— his loving family. He has been a resident of Salem, OR for decades and basically was his second home away from home. Darwin is survived by his wife, Ranna Nemek and their beautifully gorgeous daughters, Kermina, Dara, Darna, and Darimar Nemek. Darwin was such a caring, all around, family-oriented man. He will be missed by not only his wife and kids, but his many, many extended family and relatives who will live on his legacy.
