Darryl Stephen Powers, age 64, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on June 19, 2026, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, due to health complications found after a tragic accident.

Darryl graduated from River North Academy and attended Valdosta State University. He later earned his degree from Central GA Technical College.

Over the years, he enjoyed multiple careers from being a farmer, working in the hotel,  grocery store business, the pool business, etc. Darryl was a very generous man who deeply loved his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kind heart and the many ways he cared for others.

Darryl is survived by his son, Stephen Powers and his daughter, Jamie Powers; and his beloved grandchildren, Peyton, Journey, Lila, Eva, and Raya. He is also survived by his sister, Patty (Joel) Stringer; his brother, Ken (Kirstin) Powers; and his aunt, Kay (Eugene) Cason. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Marcia Powers, and his brother, Keith Powers.

To honor his wishes, a private celebration of life will be held by the family. The family appreciates your thoughts, prayers, and support during this time.
