Darriell Buck Nicholson, lovingly known as Buck, passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 89. He was born on May 23, 1935, in Duke, Oklahoma, and resided in Clinton, Oklahoma at the time of his passing.

Buck's passion for craftsmanship led him to open Nicholson Monument Co. alongside his parents in 1956. For many years, he dedicated his skills to creating beautiful monuments for the people of western Oklahoma. In 2020, Buck retired from the business to focus more on his ministry, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a task he held dear to his heart.

When he wasn't at the shop or delivering sermons, Buck could be found out on the lake, pulling fish out with an infectious enthusiasm. He would often return home to feed the neighborhood with his catch, showcasing his love for good ole southern homemade cookin'. Buck's devotion to his family was evident in the loving relationships he shared with his three children, Robin, Mark, and April, whom he had with his wife Doris, his partner of 68 wonderful years.

Buck cherished the moments he spent behind the pulpit, delivering messages that the Lord had placed on his heart. It was where he felt most fulfilled and happiest. Aside from his ministry, he enjoyed watching the OKC Thunder play, his favorite basketball team.

Throughout his life, Buck was actively involved in community organizations, but he found true purpose in his Spreading the WORD Ministry. His dedication to sharing the message of Christ brought hope and comfort to countless lives.

Buck's presence was unmistakable, as he would often fill the air with his cheerful whistling, announcing his arrival from down the hall. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of faith, love, and kindness.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
