Graduated from Galena Park H.S. in 1954, earned Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College in June 1958, earned B.S. degree from University of Houston

Served two years active duty and three years in reserve duty in the Army as a medic at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio

Worked as a private chiropractor, became a professor/staff member at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena in 1966, retired as Professor Emeritus in 2007, adjunct professor at Houston Community College for 18 years
