We are deeply saddened to anncounce the passing of Daniel Wendell Hopper who was born on August 26th 1941. He peaceful departed this word surrounded by his loving wife and granddaughter.
Daniel was the beloved son of Grover and Dora hopper. He was a loving husband to his wife Dorlinda Hopper with whom he shared countless memories and adventures with. He not only shared memories and adventures with his wife but his granddaughter who may not be blood but was loved so dearly and like a daughter.
Daniel was a kind and compassionate humorous soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. He loved spending time with family, crossword puzzles and sharing his past experiences with others. His warm smile and gentle but strong spirit will be missed forever. He was such a wise man who carried so much knowledge.
Personal paragraph from the granddaughter whom he raised as his own; My grandpa was the wisest man iv ever known or met. He was so selfless and did so much for everyone he ever loved, he lives in me everyday. There is not a day that goes by where I do not think of him. He was my comfort, safe space, and best friend throughout everything. His blood related children caused a terrible situation at the hospital which he was dying that caused them not to have the privilege of being there when he was taking his last breath as they where a danger to themselves and others around them. He would have never allowed what was happening to his wife and granddaughter if he was aware. May his children and other grandchildren find peace in knowing we where there when he was taking his final breath, he was not alone not even for a second I gave him his last sip of water and held onto him tightly he knew he was so loved. I will forever be greatful for him and greatful for him providing me such a stable life. God knows I would do anything for him to be here again. He was such a beautiful soul.
Tragically, Daniel lost his battle with Covid pneumonia, a disease which has taken far too many from us. We take solace in knowing that he is now at peace and free from suffering .
Rest in peace, Daniel. Your memory will forever be cherished in the hearts and minds who were fortunate enough to know you.
We'll plant real trees for you in Daniel's memory and display your contribution forever.
