His favorite getaway was Lake Mary in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where he spent many cherished summers. A devoted fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche, Daniel enjoyed following his favorite sports teams with enthusiasm.

Daniel is survived by his loving children, Katherine and Jeff, and will be remembered fondly for his warmth, intelligence, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
