January 19, 1954 - June 8, 2024
Daniel Edson Warner, lovingly known as "Dan the Man," passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on January 19, 1954, in Three Rivers, MI, Daniel was the son of the late Edson and Eleanor Warner. Also preceding him in death were his sisters Kathy Blanchard and Colleen Weinberg. He most recently resided in Saginaw, MI, where he made countless memories with his loved ones.
Throughout his life, Daniel had a zest for adventure and a love for simple pleasures. He found solace in his favorite hobbies, which included fishing, traveling, and attending car shows. A big home cooked breakfast always brought a smile to his face, and he cherished spending time with family and friends above all else. Daniel's favorite place in the world was anywhere surrounded by his loved ones.
Daniel was an accomplished wrestler in his youth and young adult life, leaving a lasting mark in Three Rivers. He went on to become a referee for various sports, dedicating years to ensuring fair play and sportsmanship. His passion for wrestling and football was contagious, and he always found joy in watching action movies and the show "Cops” brought out a chuckle.
Known for his quick wit and comical personality, Daniel was a hardworking, straightforward, and loving individual. He was a natural protector, always standing up for what was right. Daniel touched the lives of many through his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.
In 2007, Daniel met his beloved wife, Marsha Warner, and they then married in 2013 for a total of 24 years together. Their love and companionship brought immense joy and laughter to both of their lives. He is also survived by his nieces, Rhonda Coleman, Terri Weinberg, and Amanda Warner-Johnson, along with his great nieces and nephews: Brittany Weinberg, Kedzie Coleman, Ari Coleman, Shariah Hope, Tayana Johnson, Ferris Coleman Jr,Melachi Johnson, Dominic Brown, Taye Johnson, and Maxxson Johnson. Daniel also leaves behind his cousins, Barbara, Zach, Julia, Jesse, Hailey, and Colt Middlehurst, and Mary Weidman, as well as his best friend, David Tannous, and his friends from Westchester Village.
With his infectious personality and genuine soul, Daniel impacted the lives of those he crossed paths with. He was always willing to go the extra mile and lived life to the fullest. Daniel's legacy will be remembered by his wrestling records set for the state of Michigan and his unwavering dedication to his loved ones. Wild at heart yet a kind and humble soul.
A Christian, Daniel found solace in his faith. His motto “treat others the way you want to be treated” was a staple part of his life.
Daniel Edson Warner will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in the arms of Jesus as he entered Heaven.
The Warner Family would like to invite family and friends of Danny Warner for a celebration of life gathering. A light lunch will be served. We will take this time to share memories, laughter and love.
