Dakota Rose Driskell, affectionately known as Koko, passed away on August 6, 2024, in her hometown of West Plains, Missouri. Born on October 20, 2004, Dakota brought joy and love to all who knew her. She was the cherished daughter of Delilah and Allen Allcorn, with whom she shared a deep bond, and Dustin Driskell.
Koko was a vibrant spirit, always smiling and filling the room with her infectious laughter. She loved spending time with her family and friends, often enjoying dirt roading, riding four-wheelers, and relaxing by rivers or lakes. Her favorite foods included her dad's beans and spaghetti, which were always a hit at family gatherings, and Sonic. A lover of sunflowers, Dakota found beauty in the simple things in life.
Dakota was proud to graduate West Plains High School and pursued her passion for helping others as a Direct Care Staff member at Perfect Partners, after joining the National Guard. She was also a dedicated member of her community in her youth, participating in Competition Dance, Cheerleading, and the Basketball Team.
Her family was her greatest treasure, and she was especially close to her siblings, Chrystal and Aarron Bean, Autumn McGee, Cyric McGee, and River Mauldin. Koko was also an adored aunt to her nephew Huxley and niece Alina. She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother Sylvie, cousins Alexis, Aiden, Brantley, and her baby she sadly never got to meet.
Dakota's love for the Kansas City Chiefs football team and her passionate spirit made her a vibrant part of her community. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her radiant smile and kind heart.
We will be having a Celebration of life at Rescue Church in West Plains, Mo on August 16th at 5pm. We will also be having a pot luck dinner.
