Dakota Nicole Taylor, known to her loved ones as Kota, passed away tragically on April 3, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia. She was born on June 6, 2004, in the same city she called home throughout her life.
Kota had a vibrant spirit and a passion for a variety of hobbies. She loved losing herself in the world of video games, taking refreshing swims, expressing herself through drawing, and embracing the beauty of nature through walks and other outdoor activities. Music was a constant companion, and she enjoyed exploring different genres, from pop to rap and country. Kota's creative flair extended to the kitchen, where she delighted in cooking and experimenting with different flavors. However, her true joy came from spending quality time with her family and friends, cherishing every moment they shared.
Kota had a diverse palate and relished in the simple pleasures of life, especially indulging in burgers, pizza, and tacos. She had a deep appreciation for music and found solace in the melodies and lyrics of her favorite bands and musical artists. Additionally, she had a fondness for horror and scary movies, immersing herself in thrilling tales.
Kota's warm and gentle nature endeared her to those who knew her. Shy yet friendly, she possessed a sensitivity that allowed her to empathize with others effortlessly. Her outgoing personality shined through, and she had a generous spirit that touched the lives of many.
Kota leaves behind her children, Skylar, Ashlyn, Micah, and Caleb, who will forever cherish their memories with their loving mother. She is also survived by her grandmother, Tammy Joslyn, and her father, Jason Taylor.
On the night of her passing, Kota was tragically and senselessly shot in an Augusta trailer park accident. Her loss is deeply felt by her family, friends, and the community.
As we mourn Dakota Nicole Taylor's untimely departure, let us remember her for the joy she brought into our lives, the love she shared, and the memories that will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
