Obituary

Curtis Joseph Rebstock, known affectionately as Curtis “Jo,” passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on July 7, 1950, in Saint Louis, Missouri, and most recently resided in Kirkwood, Missouri.

A retired Navy Seal, Curtis lived a life marked by dedication and service. He was a beloved husband to his late wife, Ellen, and cherished father to Matthew, Katherine, Christine, Andrew, Caroline, and Christopher. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren Mason and wife Carol, Henry, Destiny and husband Chad, Emma and husband Louis, Lucie, Evie and husband Manning, August, Ellen and husband Ryan, and Oliver and wife Justine. Curtis is also survived by his brothers Gary and Scott, along with several nieces and nephews.

Curtis was known for his kind and forgiving nature. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially enjoying activities like fishing, hiking, and playing solitaire. He had a passion for good food, particularly Chinese dishes, chicken and broccoli, and roast. A huge Kansas City Chiefs fan, he enjoyed football in all its glory. Colorado was his favorite place in the world, where he found peace and joy in nature.

An active member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Curtis was a man who embodied the motto "live and let live." He had an infectious sense of humor and a relaxed demeanor that made him a joy to be around. His proudest accomplishment was being a grandfather, a role he cherished deeply.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Bopp Chapel. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, followed by graveside services at Resurrection Cemetery.

Curtis Joseph Rebstock will be remembered as a wonderful man, a loving family member, and a friend to many. He touched the lives of all who knew him and will be profoundly missed.
