While living in Jacksonville, Cummings met and later married Jean Ann Jacobs (Deceased) and together they raised four children. Cummings loved his family and devoted his life to them. Cummings moved his mother to Jacksonville to live with his family and became a caregiver for her until her death. He provided for his family by working at Econo Rental Car until he decided to become his own boss, by opening a small beer and wine tavern and later becoming an independent cab driver.

He would bet you almost anything when he believed he was right; his favorite bet was " I bet you a Coca Cola". He also love to debate on many topics, especially politics. He enjoyed getting people fired up about his support of Donald Trump,

Grandchildren: Christina Jordan,Cameron Jordan, Chauntelle Latiesha, Jocelyn (Deceased), Cummings III, Julian, Jacobye, Keith Jr, Kayla, Rory, and Reid.
Sibling: Annie Lou Wallace (Deceased). Niece and Nephews: John Wallace, Leon Wallace, Rosa Mae Burgess and Emma Wallace (Deceased).
