Cubie Grier, a humorous and entertaining individual, passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 86. He was born on March 19, 1938, in Wadley, GA, and most recently resided in Daytona Beach, FL. Cubie was known for his love of oxtails and rice, and he found joy in listening to the blues.

Professionally, Cubie was a dedicated construction worker, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.

Cubie is survived by his brother, Willie L. (Shirley) Grier, as well as his children Linda Grier, Olivia Grier, Quinton (Regina) Grier, and Patrick (Sharon) Grier. He was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Cubie held a special place in his heart for his close cousins, Shirley (Albert) Samples, Daisy xxx, Joe (Ann) Vinson, Jerry (Carol) Vinson, and Jeridean (Maynard) Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Benjamin Grier, his brother Amos Grier, his daughter Yolonda (Turnet) Ellison, and his son Antoine (Nichelle) Garrett.

Cubie will be remembered for his entertaining personality and his ability to bring laughter to those around him. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
