Consuelo "Miss Connie" Gonzalez, born on January 14, 1936, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, passed away on August 21, 2024, in Charleston. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was married to Salvador Gonzalez for 55 cherished years.
Consuelo is survived by her two daughters, Connie and Wanda, along with her four grandchildren: Demetrius, Elizabeth, and Amanda, as well as her late grandson, Salvador. She took great pride in her family, celebrating their academic achievements and nurturing their dreams. Her legacy continues through her four great-grandchildren, Tommy, Ozzie, Winslow, and Penelope.
A retired employee of Bigelow Tea Company in Norwalk, Connecticut, Consuelo had a passion for sewing and a love for reading history books. Known for her kindness and unwavering faith in God, she was a generous soul who always helped those in need. Her Catholic faith was a guiding force in her life, shaping her compassionate spirit.
Consuelo is also survived by her sisters, Auria and Carmen, and her brother, Carlos. Her warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
