Spending time with her kids and grandkids
Connie Lee Stapleton, affectionately known as Tiki, passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on June 2, 1949, in Kearney, Nebraska, Connie spent her final years in Holland, Texas, where she touched the lives of many.
A dedicated professional, Connie had a long and successful career as a registered nurse and drug and alcohol counselor, making a significant impact in the lives of those she served. Her commitment to helping others was matched only by her love for her family. Connie cherished every moment spent with her children—Michelle, Tasha, Tonya, and Cliff—and adored her grandchildren, whom she considered her greatest joys.
Connie was known for her positive outlook on life, often reminding those around her to "always look at the positive side." This philosophy guided her through the challenges she faced and inspired others to adopt a similar perspective. She aspired to embody the same warmth and love that her Grandma Mae had shown her throughout her childhood.
Connie is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Stapleton, and her siblings: Roger Marshall of Grand Island, Nebraska; Lorry Marshall (Marlene) of Elm Creek, Nebraska; and Cheryl Stone (Lyle) of Wilmington, Ohio. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
We'll plant real trees for you in Connie's memory and display your contribution forever.
