Colleen K. Cunningham, a devoted wife, loving mother, and compassionate community member, passed away on April 20, 2024, in Decatur, IL. She was born on May 21, 1955.
Colleen was known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life. She had a passion for camping and enjoyed spending time in nature. Colleen was also an active volunteer at the New Life Pregnancy Center, where she tirelessly worked to support expectant mothers and families in need. She was a dedicated member of the Long Creek United Methodist Church, where she participated in various activities with her church group.
Professionally, Colleen made a significant impact during her career. She worked at the Adolph Meyer Mental Health Center for 16 years before transitioning to the State of Illinois, where she worked in early intervention.
On September 23, 1977, Colleen married the love of her life, Jack Cunningham. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Colleen is survived by her beloved husband, Jack.
Colleen was a devoted mother to her daughters, Robin Cline (Adam) and Sarah. She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren: Dylan Cline (Ayriel), Brian Cline, Destiny Cline, Emma White, Savannah Waterhouse (Keegan), Camron White, and Abby Atkins. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Izabella Cline and Logan Cline.
Colleen's kind and giving nature extended beyond her family and into her community. She was actively involved in the New Life Pregnancy Center and dedicated her time and energy to helping others. Her strong Christian faith was an integral part of her life, providing her with guidance and strength.
Colleen K. Cunningham will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
