Clyde began working at a young age delivering newspapers. He was a hard worker and always had a job in the food service industry working two jobs many of those years.

Clyde is survived by his two sons, Tyray Stokes of Dallas, TX, Phillip Stokes of Philadelphia, PA; his companion Mary White of Wichita, KS; brothers Alfred Bolden (Julia) and Larry Bolden of Wichita, KS, Phillip Barrett (Belinda) of Maryland, Travis Stokes of Denver, CO; sisters Leontyne Rogers, Gail Stokes, Timi Fry of Wichita, KS, Tanya Hightower (Clarence) of Edmond, OK, Jacqueline Jenkins (Timothy) and Angela Stokes of Denver, Co and aunt Gladys Polite of Wichita, KS.
Clyde is preceded in death by his biological father Clyde Stokes, Sr, stepfather Kenneth Bolden, Sr, mother Betty Bolden, grandparents Alfred and Cleo Hogget and brother Kenneth Bolden Jr.
