When Clifton was discharged from the service, he worked for his dad for a while. Then he went on to school and attended LA Trade Technical College and got his AS Degree and his Registered Nurse's License. He started his nursing career working for Martin Luther King Hospital before moving on to St Mary's Hospital in Long Beach. Clifton was working for St Mary's hospital as an RN for 17 years and then he was diagnosed with the first cancer resulting in him retiring from St Mary s. GOD blessed him and healed him of that first cancer. HE gave him 18 years before the 2nd cancer showed up. HE gave him an additional 2 years before the 3rd cancer showed up which ultimately led to his transition. Clifton always said he wanted those who lived after him to celebrate his transition, as for him, this was a good thing. Ha completed his race as GOD told him to do without complaint. He felt he had that last cancer in January of 2019, but he never complained and he, without missing a beat, continued to take care of his aged and dying father. His father passed in March of 2019, and shortly after that, it was confirmed that the cancer had indeed returned. Within two months of finding this out, Clifton transitioned. He never murmured nor complained nor asked for anything other than we celebrate his life. So, on September 30, 2019, on the Feast of Trumpets, which pictures the day Jesus Christ will return for HIS Saints, Jesus came and picked up Clifton and took him home. Well done Clifton, well done.
